You wanna wax what?!!

Backside, behind, booty, bottom, bum, bunny tail, cheeks, tush, winker, crack, taint, girl parts, folds, boy parts, junk – whatever you call your intimate areas, we know the lingo and are okay with waxing that. We get it! It’s sometimes hard to talk about a place that’s private – and let’s face it – none of us can even see easily without a good mirror and some contortionist maneuvers.  

So, you’re thinking about taking the leap and de-fuzzing that “bunny tail” or other intimate areas? We can help! Who doesn’t want a nice clean tush and stress-free grooming for 4-6 weeks? And, while we may use some humor to help you take the leap to smooth cheeks or a fuzz-free bikini area, we are all about exceptional, quality, confidential waxing services. Our team of skilled estheticians are trained in safe hair removal for all gender identities. 

You’re having a brave moment and are ready to book an appointment by phone or on our online system. If it’s your first appointment, we encourage you to call our office for a private, non-judgmental consult regarding what will make you feel the most confident and well-groomed. All our staff have been right where you are in taking that first step to feeling amazing in their own skin. You’ll want to indicate all the areas you’d like to have hair removal so we can schedule just the right amount of time for our exceptional hair removal service. 

Now you’ve made the appointment – what’s next? We encourage you to arrive 5 minutes prior to your appointment to fill out new client paperwork. Once your esthetician has looked this over to determine if you have any specific skin sensitivities, you will enter a private treatment room to discuss your chosen service(s) and confirm these are the proper services to address your hair removal needs. Your esthetician will then leave the room and you will have a few minutes to privately get undressed from the waist down, lay face up or down on the table (your esthetician will let you know based on the service), and cover yourself with a towel. Our specially trained team member will then check on you to make sure that you are ready for them to enter the room. Then, the process begins.  

A protective corn starch skin powder will be used to prepare the area(No Talc used here!), and your esthetician will use a special wax designed for delicate skin to begin the hair removal process. It is important that any wax service provider you use is professionally trained for hair removal in this sensitive area. Your esthetician may ask you to move your legs or relax your muscles so they can reach the areas to be waxed. Small amounts of wax are then spread across the indicated area and the esthetician will quickly remove the wax strips. 

Are you expecting to get on all fours or strike a “happy baby” yoga pose? Not with us. Without unnecessary and embarrassing poses, the Spruce team can help you meet your waxing needs effectively and efficiently. And, if you are actually expecting a baby, we have special intimate waxing options available and specific training to make sure you are comfortable as well.

Once preparation is complete and the waxing begins, it will typically take 15-60 minutes depending on the area for hair removal.  Your esthetician will be able to give you an estimate of the time needed for your scheduled service. Additional time is given to ensure that you are comfortable throughout the experience. Once the removal is done, a few seconds are taken to add antiseptic and conditioning products to the area of hair removal to prevent ingrown hairs and irritation. If you’d like, products are available for purchase to take home to help condition the skin and reduce the potential for in-grown hairs and irritation.
